I was elected to Athlone Town Council on June 6th 2009.  The 2009 election was my first time to run for public office so I am very grateful to the people of Athlone for putting their confidence and trust in me.

With 5 new faces on the Council the voters of Athlone very much had their say in Election 2009 – they wanted change. There are many new and unfolding challenges facing our town. So, now and for the years ahead Athlone needs a strong, decisive and dynamic Council made-up of people who are hard working, energetic and resilient. 

Knowing all of the other 8 councilors I can say with confidence that this will be a very good council for Athlone.

My life experience to-date has prepared me well for this role. I am first and foremost a husband and father of 4 children aged 9, 7, 5 and 2.  I run my own business which I established with my wife Lisa in 2005, Snap Printing is now Irelands largest business print and design group with 121 staff nationwide.

I come from a family with strong political roots and a track record of delivering for this town. All my life I have lived in a political world. Growing up in Arcadia, our home was a public clinic, the key was always in the door and open to the public for as long as I can remember.

I have seen the tremendous work that can be done with people and for people through political life and now I believe given my broad life experience that I too can deliver for my town.

I look forward to working with the people and on behalf of the people to drive new and relevant initiatives over the coming years.
