That this Council would upgrade the footpaths at the top of Pearse Street (Connaught Street end) as they are in poor condition and require remedial work.

The paths on both sides of the road at the top end of Pearse Street are in poor condition but particularly on the Court House Side of the street. From the VEC to the top of the road. The path at the entrance to the Revenue is not graduated on either side so work here is needed in order to accommodate wheelchairs, buggies and so on. The property owners on the opposite side of the road went to great lengths in recent weeks to powerhose and clean the public paths on the Mall side of the road and great credit is due to them for undertaking this work it looks fantastic. However, the paths on and around the Court House stretch are in need of attention and I would ask that the Town Engineer will take a look as soon as he can.
