Athlone Sports Centre, an Industry Leader-Cllr O’Rourke

This week Cllr Aengus O'Rourke praised the Management and Staff at Athlone Regional Sports Centre for their professionalism and commitment which he says is the reason why we have one of the finest and most successful public sports centres in the country.  "10 years on and our centre continues to be the envy of most towns and cities in Ireland. It has a very impressive membership base along with great day to day demand for its classes and swimming lessons.  This success has not evolved by accident, instead it is the result of shrewd strategic management by the centre and effective marketing.

"We as a family use the centre so I can say from first hand experience that a key factor in the success of this facility is the staff, each and every one of them do a great job and are appreciated by all the customers.  Many of the staff are with the centre from the start.

"I would like to congratulate Liam Cunningham and his staff on the occasion of the centres 10th birthday, but I would also like to wish them the very best of luck for the next 10 years.  As a public representative and customer the centre can be assured of my continued support."
